Course summary

Our Integrated Foundation Year course is the ideal choice for a student looking to pursue an undergraduate degree in the creative arts. It will give you the grounding, tools, practical skills and confidence to succeed in the BA(Hons) Visual Communication degree at CSVPA with an enhanced knowledge and understanding of specialist techniques and materials. You will take this one year course before progressing onto our BA(Hons) Visual Communication course at CSVPA. This initial year is designed to allow you to explore a broad range of media, approaches and concepts in arts and design, and to develop your own distinctive voice and direction for future success. BA(Hons) Visual Communication Our BA Visual Communication degree offers students the exciting possibility to explore the intersection where illustration, design, and creative practice meet. Through this course, students will gain a solid grounding in the principles of communication whilst developing their individual artistic potential. During studio-based design projects, set and live project briefs, self-initiated work, specialist workshops and lectures, students will learn how to give a message shape and form using creativity to generate influence. Workshops may include photography, printmaking, software, and motion graphics. Our small class sizes ensure that students receive frequent one-to-one guidance from our highly-skilled lecturers, allowing for a more tailored learning experience. Qualification requirements

48 UCAS points (or equivalent) gained through a Foundation Diploma or Extended Diploma, or one A Level (or similar international High School qualification). Students who do not meet these entry requirements will still be considered on their own individual potential to succeed subject to a portfolio review and interview. Age: 17 years +

English language requirements

IELTS 5.5+ (with no element below 5.5). For our non-UK students, we offer an enhanced level of English Language support to ensure you achieve the required IELTS score to progress onto the CSVPA BA degree course of your choosing. We have a dedicated team of English teachers who can provide tailored support for you while you study with us, allowing you to become the creative you want to be. Through choosing to study our Integrated Foundation with BA(Hons) you will be offered a four year student visa, making your creative experience with us more rewarding.

Additional fee information

UK and EU students applying for an Undergraduate programme are subject to a £300 registration fee. International students are subject to a £500 registration fee and a refundable deposit payment of £2,500 (refundable after the completion of your course). Sponsorship information

Students from England & the EU (who are able to benefit from citizens’ rights agreements e.g. with pre-settled or settled status) are able to claim tuition fees loan up to £6,185. Students from England can also claim maintenance loans. Please note that it is not possible for students from Wales to get a loan from Student Finance Wales to study on an undergraduate course at CSVPA. Like other small providers, CSVPA elected not to apply for designation with HEFCW. Be assured CSVPA continue to maintain good standing with the OfS and will return to designation HEFCW when the requirements for designation with Student Finance Wales and Student Finance England are more aligned.
