Course summary

These courses are aimed at healthcare, public health and medical professionals working in clinical training, education, research or anyone who has a passion and enthusiasm for innovative and exciting health simulation. Simulation is an increasingly important area of education and training for health professionals. The advance of technology in recent years enables approaches to learning that were not possible just a few years ago. The aim of this course is to support you towards becoming a leader in health simulation.The key focus is to enable you to create engaging and inspirational virtual and technology-enhanced healthcare content for a range of health education environments.Designed to provide you with an opportunity to enhance your understanding of current and emerging technologies and theories in the field of health simulation as a learning tool.

Assessment method

You will be assessed through a variety of assessment tasks which may include (but are not limited to) essays, reports, a portfolio, creation of a digital healthcare simulation learning resource, creation and presentation of an academic poster and a dissertation or project report.


Entry requirements

You should hold a health or social care (or relevant) undergraduate degree. Other degree level qualifications may be considered with relevant work based experiential learning experience, which will be assessed on a case-by-case basis as part of the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Coventry University process.
