University of Chichester has opted into the TEF and received a Silver award.
The University of Chichester provides social work awards in partnership with West Sussex Children and Adult Services and other partners from the voluntary, independent and private sector organisations. Practice is seen as central to the programme as an experiential base for learning, supported by a rigorous tutorial system, designed to help students integrate academic learning with their experience in social work and social care. As a result we have an excellent record in providing students with high quality, relevant practice placements. The MA Social Work is nationally recognised and will be approved and endorsed by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Qualification requirements
First or second class honours degree, normally in a social science GCSEs: English language (C or above) Social work or social care experience of up to six months or equivalent part-time (paid or voluntary)

Interview
The interview is designed to assess the applicant’s suitability for the social work profession. It is expected that most students will have significant experience of a statutory care agency or voluntary/private organisation providing a social work or social care service.
