The MSc Finance and Accounting provides an in-depth grounding for your professional and/or academic career in finance, business and accounting. Why choose this course? Achieve an in-depth grounding for your professional and/or academic career in finance, business and accounting. This course develops your strategic understanding and critical thinking of the main finance principles and theories that support and inform corporate financial decisions and upon which modern business decision-making is based. You will also have opportunities to develop practical skills and theoretical understanding of finance for international business. Previous students have taken up appointments in large financial institutions, national government departments and international banks. You will explore the importance of accounting information in the management of corporations and a variety of approaches small firms follow to secure finance to survive and succeed in the hyper-competitive market. You will have the opportunity to evaluate the impact of organisational theories on corporations in an international context. Your research skills will be developed and you can apply this knowledge through an independent piece of research in an accounting or finance related topic. Entry requirements
A Undergraduate Honours Degree (2:2 or above) from a UK university or overseas equivalent, or a professional qualification and/or experience considered to be equivalent to the above. A reference from a tutor who has supervised the applicant’s undergraduate studies and/or employer.
