With our Psychology degree you’ll gain the knowledge, skills and experiences to support mental health and wellbeing. This course provides an excellent grounding in Psychology with a focus upon clinical and mental health issues. Perfect for those who want to become a Clinical Psychologist, or those who wish to work in one of the many wider roles within mental health Graduates will often work with those facing anxiety, depression, learning difficulties or relationship issues. Our course is delivered in short, focused blocks. You'll learn from outstanding academic staff and experienced clinical professionals from the industry. There's an increased public awareness of the importance of clinical psychology and mental health. Opportunities for working within Psychology and the demand for graduates is on the rise. In both the classroom and work settings, we emphasise practical learning and teach transferable clinical skills. - This course is taught in block learning allowing you to focus on one subject at a time. You will be on campus for 3 fixed days a week meaning you can maintain work/life balance.
- The course covers the core BPS curriculum. This enables you to progress to postgraduate study in any area of psychology. In your final year of study you will concentrate on issues of Clinical and Mental Health.
- Assessments emulate activities that you might undertake once in employment. You could design, implement and evaluate a behaviour change programme or create materials designed to promote health and wellbeing.
- Take advantage of our flexible course design by studying a module in either Forensic/Criminal Psychology or Neuropsychology.
