The Higher National Certificate (HNC) is a Level 4 qualification made up of 120 credits. BTEC Higher Nationals provide nationally recognised qualifications offering excellent career progression within the sports industry. Higher Nationals are designed to provide a clear line of site to employment such as a professional sportsperson, sports manager or coach. Students will gain a wide range of sector knowledge tied to practical skills gained in research, self study, directed study and workplace scenarios. HNC Sport - Bromley Football Club Pathway The HNC in Sport can be completed in association with Bromley Football Club. This pathway combines theoretical study with professional training sessions, providing learners with the opportunity to train and play at the Bromley FC stadium, home of the professional development squad (u23s). As part of the course, the players will be part of the Under 23s squad, which will play in both the competitive suburban league and play regular fixtures against respective EFL and PL teams. Students will have the opportunity to train everyday and play competitive football supported by UEFA qualified coaches. BTEC Higher Nationals provide nationally recognised qualifications offering excellent career progression within the sports industry. Higher Nationals are designed to provide a clear line of site to employment such as a professional sportsperson, sports manager or coach. This course also provides a springboard for talented young players to join Bromley Football Club’s 1st team squad and develop a career both on and off the field.

Assessment method
Pearson BTEC HNC combines a student-centred approach with a flexible, unit-based structure. Students are required to apply their knowledge to a variety of assignments and activities, with a focus on the holistic development of practical, interpersonal and higher level thinking skills. Assessment reflects not only what the student knows, but also what they can do, in employment.

Applicants should have one or more of the following: BTEC Level 3 qualification GCE Advanced Level profile that demonstrates strong performance in a relevant subject Other related Level 3 qualification Access to Higher Education Diploma An international equivalent of the above Achievement of GCSE grades A* to C or 9 to 4 in English and maths is preferred. Relevant industry experience will also be considered.
