This course is ideal for ambitious individuals who want to open up new career opportunities in civil engineering, construction, and the built environment. Fast-track your career in the construction and management sectors, by increasing your technical knowledge of civil engineering and construction and studying a diverse range of management principles. You could become a design engineer, design manager, site engineer, project manager, construction manager, asset manager, researcher or academic. You could work for leading consulting and contracting/construction companies (e.g. Laing O’Rourke, Arup and Sir Robert McAlpine) government agencies, infrastructure owners and managers (e.g. Highways England, Network Rail and airport authorities). An application for accreditation of the course from the Joint Board of Moderators is currently under review. Our Civil Engineering with Digital Construction MSc or Structural Engineering with Digital Construction MSc courses are accredited and offer an ideal pathway to becoming a chartered civil engineer. What knowledge will I gain? This course is a collaboration between the Department of Civil Engineering and Nottingham University Business School (NUBS). You'll learn how to apply modern management techniques, to solve economic, social and environmental challenges - which are critical to the success of civil engineering and construction projects. Combined with coursework and self-study, you may spend over 40 hours a week on your studies.

Alternative qualifications We recognise that applicants have a variety of experiences and follow different pathways to postgraduate study. We treat all applicants with alternative qualifications on an individual basis. We may also consider relevant work experience.
