Course summary
This programme explores areas such as management and leadership; recruitment; selection; employee relations; learning and talent management and business leadership skills. When you successfully complete the course you will have fulfilled part of the requirements for professional membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD).
Modules
Modules include: Stage 1: developing skills for business leadership; human resource management in context; managing, leading and developing people; learning and talent development. Stage 2: leadership and management development; resourcing and talent management. Option 1 (must be chosen from: employee relations, employment law; organisational development and change). Option 2 (employee relations; employment law; organisational development and change; international hrm or managing diversity). Stage 3: investigating a business issue from a human resource management perspective; human resource reflective project.
Assessment method
Assessment is based on the completion of a management research report and a human resource reflective project.

Honours degree (2.2 or above) in business; applications from those with relevant experience or professional qualifications equivalent to an Honours degree are welcomed.
