Course summary
Through our specialist qualification in health informatics, you'll study the interaction between people and information systems. Develop your professional practice and personal interest in the use of information and information technology to support the delivery of outstanding health and social care.
- You will be studying intellectually stimulating modules on the role of information, information management and information technology in innovating and improving patient care.
- The skills and knowledge you gain will benefit your workplace too. The course will help you to continue to develop as a professional as you take principles, across the health and social care sector, and put theory into practice.
- You can complete this course as a PGCert, PGDip or MSc. A PGCert requires you to complete 60 credits, a PGDip requires you to complete 120 credits and you'll need to complete 180 credits to gain an MSc.
- The Health Informatics National Occupational Standards and the Key Skills Framework inform the learning outcomes of this course.
- Core modules are in health informatics, research methods, study skills, with optional modules and a dissertation.
- The course is delivered by e-learning, so you can continue working while you study.
