This is the 4 year course which includes a Professional Placement Year. BA (Hons) Business and Management (Human Resource Management) at Bath Spa University is an innovative course offering specialism in Human Resource Management, (HRM). You’ll develop core skills needed to excel in all kinds of businesses and experience exceptional learning environments. You’ll be supported by academic staff with business experience who will assist you along the way.

Course details
Modules
Year 1 will give you a broad understanding of today’s business environment, from organisational operation, economic thinking, to the importance of data in business. You’ll cover topics such as Organisations and the Business Environment; Economics and Globalisation; and Managing Data. In Year 2 you’ll take your skills forward and focus on the inner workings of businesses, use techniques to solve problems and develop the skills that employers look for. You will learn to form opinions on how businesses manage challenges, you’ll work on projects and use business techniques to solve problems. Finally, Year 3 will see you undertake an in-depth business research project in HRM, work with fellow students on a HR related project set by an employer as well as having the chance to plan a business by yourself or with fellow students. Assessment method
You'll be assessed in a wide range of ways that will test your business knowledge and management skills. These could include presentations, work related projects, group-work, computer based simulations, podcasts, examinations, essays, videos and business reports.
