  • In Year 4 of the MEng degree, you’ll continue to deepen and broaden your expertise and undertake a major group design project. A specialist Space Mission Analysis and Design module will cover the design, cost, logistical and operational implications of space missions.

About this course Aerospace engineering at Kingston has an innovative curriculum, excellent links with industry and cutting-edge facilities. It’s the perfect place to study aerodynamics, propulsion, structures, dynamics and materials and enhance your learning through project-based activities. You’ll put theory straight into practice, applying what you learn to the problems of aerospace design and taking part in a group design project. We offer both BEng and MEng degrees. The MEng has an extra year of study and can provide a faster route to chartered engineer (CEng) status. Both degrees have the option of industrial placement. Assessment method

Teaching includes lectures, seminars, tutorials and practical laboratory sessions, backed up by design classes and workshop sessions. Assessment is usually split between exam and continuous assessment coursework (such as reports, computer exercises, laboratories and essays). Some modules are assessed by coursework only.

Qualification requirements

T Levels T Levels are an alternative to A levels, apprenticeships and other further education courses. T Level focuses on vocational skills and can help students into skilled employment, higher education and/or apprenticeships. Students who study T Level spend 80% of the course in the classroom, learning the skills that employers need. The other 20% is a meaningful industry placement, where they put these skills into action. T Levels are the equivalent to three A levels and we recognise the UCAS tariff points they attract in line with other qualifications that aid progression to higher education.
