  • Over the past decade the discipline of Performance Analysis has seen a rapid growth at all levels of sport. As a result, a number of employment opportunities within performance environments have emerged such as: Video Analyst, Opposition Analyst, Video Coordinator, Technical Scout, and Data Analyst. This course has been specifically designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive within these performance analysis related roles.
  • Our Performance Analysis and Talent Management programme is designed to provide students with the skills, experiences and networks that will establish our graduates at the forefront of sports performance. The programme links theory to practice and provides opportunities for students to apply performance analysis, talent identification and coaching practice in real world sport contexts, both in the UK and abroad.

Entry requirements

Students require a good honours degree (or equivalent) in which a major part of their studies has incorporated aspects of sports coaching or related disciplines (e.g. sport science). Other graduates who can demonstrate a commitment to the study of sport or who have significant experience in the sport industry will also be considered for entry. Students for whom English is not the first language need to demonstrate their ability in the English language through obtaining an IELTS score of 6 or above. Applications from individuals with non-standard qualifications, relevant work or life experience and who can demonstrate the ability to cope with and benefit from degree-level studies are welcome. A satisfactory Criminal records declaration (DBS/Disclosure Scotland) is required for this course.
