Course summary

Nescot is pleased to be delivering a Level 6 BSc (Hons) Applied Bioscience. This qualification is being co-delivered with the apprenticeship route, but this option is for those not already employed in industry. A laboratory scientist applies specialist knowledge and broad scientific understanding to carry out a range of technical and scientific activities in their specialist discipline: Life sciences, biological sciences etc. After completing their BSc degree students will be able to apply for Pharmaceutical, NHS or Research laboratory positions. This award is validated by The Open University.

The course is made up of 13 modules which make up the programme of study. In the first-year students will study 3 modules. 4 modules in year 2, 3 modules in year and 3 modules in year 4 (Total 13 modules). To get BSc (Hons) degree in Applied Bioscience the student must pass 360 credits.
