Course summary

The aim of this programme is to equip practitioners with the core skills and competencies they require to provide pharmaceutical and patient care in their practice setting within a multidisciplinary team.

Modules

Core modules: Professional development in the NHS (work based); pharmaceutical care (work based); applied therapeutics 1-long term disease states (work based); applied therapeutics 2-short term/acute disease states (work based). Optional modules: Health disciplines project; evidence based practice; project (ACPP); pharmacist independent prescribing L7.


Entry requirements

A registered pharmacist with the Royal pharmaceutical society of Great Britain (RPSGB) and with the GPhC; applicants will need a practice site in order to access patient data and also access to a practice tutor (who will need to be accredited by the university); applicants whose 1st language is not English require an IELTS score of 6.0.
