Course summary
Our MA in Creative Writing is a uniquely inspirational programme that delivers integrated training in the writing of literary and media text. Taught by experienced and award-winning writers, the programme provides teaching on a range of genres including fiction, short story, poetry, drama, screenwriting and creative non-fiction. Throughout your studies you will have the chance to forge personal links with National Theatre Wales, the International Dylan Thomas Prize, The Cultural Institute, independent publishers and literary agents, as part of a vibrant Swansea community of artists. If you are interested in studying abroad, our 2-year MA Creative Writing (Extended) course includes a period of study at our partner institution, the University of Central Oklahoma, USA.

Modules will typically include: Poetry, Art of the Short Story, Creative Non-Fiction, Long Fiction, Dramatic Writing: Writing for Performance, Screenwriting and Publishing: Cultures and Contexts.
