From advanced heat and mass transfer to reactors, thermodynamics and low-carbon energy processing, immerse yourself in the subject and apply your knowledge in a real workplace environment. Discover the fundaments of chemical and energy engineering, and study topics such as food engineering and healthcare technologies. You’ll explore the challenges for sustainability faced by the manufacturing, transport and energy industries. Industry experts deliver guest lectures and you’ll take part in industry related projects. You will spend a year in industry at the end of your second year. We have strong links with a large number of key companies to assist you, including Procter & Gamble, Unilever, BP, EDF, ConocoPhilips, PepsiCo, Jaguar/Land Rover, ExxonMobil, Cadbury, AstraZeneca, Johnson Matthey and GlaxoSmithKline as well as with smaller to medium enterprises. You spend your fourth year studying at a prestigious university either in English at an English-speaking university (eg, Melbourne, Ontario, Montreal, Singapore or one of the Universitas 21 group) or at a non-English speaking university in Europe.
