Course summary
The PhD with Integrated Study in accounting is a four-year, full-time doctoral programme tailored for students seeking to conduct advanced research in accounting. The programme is embedded in one of the largest Accounting and Finance groups in the UK, comprising around 45 academic staff and supported by active research centres and networks. In the first year, you will undertake 180 credits of taught courses designed to provide advanced training in theory, research methods, and research design. This foundation enables you to formulate and execute a doctoral research project that makes an original contribution to the field, and preparing you for a successful career. You will be working closely with your supervisory team who will provide guidance and advise on conducting high quality research.
