Course summary
This course will provide you with the knowledge base to support provision of a service for patients with a wide range of hearing and hearing related problems. This module introduces the function & disorders of the auditory system, audiological assessment, and management of hearing disorders in adults. It encourages students to engage with evidence-based decision making and to develop the higher thinking skills that are essential for advanced clinical practice in adult auditory rehabilitation. Time commitment: Although this will depend upon the individual, you a typical student can expect to spend around 10 hours a week throughout the duration of the course, equivalent to 200 hours of study in total Entry requirements: You must be a clinician in the field of Audiology.
Assessment method
