Course summary

Gain specialist nursing skills and NMC registration in an additional field of practice with our one-year Graduate Diploma in adult nursing. Take your existing nursing degree to the next level by learning how to assess and treat adults who are acutely unwell and/or have complex care needs. You’ll learn all about person-centred care in the classroom and through hands-on placements, whether your interest lies in primary care or hospital settings. Assessment method

You’ll spend the year mastering the theory and practice of adult nursing. As well as learning how to recognise and respond to acute deterioration in patients, and assess and manage adults with complex care needs, you’ll explore approaches to personalised care, and the provision of high quality patient care as a leader. You’ll complete two 12-week placements, allowing you to hone your practical skills and prepare to work as a registered adult nurse.
