Course summary
This course will help develop you into a critical, competent and reflective practitioner who can perform effectively within a business partnership perspective and demonstrate the capabilities required for membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). You will gain a clear understanding of a broad range of HR, managerial and business principles, practices and competencies.
Modules
Core modules: Investigating a business issue; leading, managing and developing people; skills for individual and organisational effectiveness; strategic context of human resource management. Option modules may include: Employee engagement; employment law (human resources); leadership and management development; managing employment relations; performance and reward.
Entry requirements
Applicants should either have at least a sec2nd ond class honours degree or have equivalent experience or training, normally from within the work environment. All suitable candidates who meet the entry requirements will be interviewed and required to attend a pre-course induction session. All applications should be supported by a reference, either academic or professional. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum 5.5 in each component) or equivalent.
