Assessment method
Taught modules are usually assessed through a combination of exams and coursework. Lab-based modules are often assessed through practical coursework, while more theoretical modules may be assessed through in-class tests, exercise sheets or written assignments. Group and individual project work forms a significant component of assessment. Project modules are assessed on the basis of a written report, oral presentation and demonstration of the concrete outcomes of the module, e.g. developed software.
