The course content adds value to your professional experience and enhances your ability to make a positive contribution to the care, well-being and support of individuals and communities, through detailed examination of theories and concepts associated with Health and Social Care. Graduates of this programme may also progress to complete a full bachelor’s degree by further study. Please note that this course is taught at Grantham College.

Entry requirements

Qualification requirements

A minimum of one year’s practical experience in an employed or voluntary capacity with a written statement of support from the head teacher/manager. Candidates should ideally hold a Diploma, NVQ or Access to HE qualification and a minimum of a Level 2 in English and maths although other qualifications will be considered and enthusiasm and experience are essential. Candidates should also hold or be willing to apply for a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate. Applicants must have access to a voluntary or paid role in a relevant setting for at least 12 hours a week throughout the course and have written support from the setting.
