Course summary

Develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours to manage people in organisations, with a degree that is also mapped to the core and specialist knowledge and behaviours of the CIPD Profession Map, at an Associate level. You'll learn about the main concepts and issues of human resource management. The course also focuses on responsible, ethical and sustainable practices, and is informed by our academics' world-leading research. Our graduates have diverse career paths across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. A BSc in Business Management and Human Resource Management can lead to a career with the likes of Barclays, IBM and Opus Energy, in roles such as: • management consultant • business analyst • human resources and industrial relations officer • business sales executive We also offer a variant of this course with a Placement Year.

Modules

On our Business Management and Human Resource Management course, you'll explore accounting, financial management and business administration, including a Business project. Some of the modules you may study include Management Analysis; Business in Society; Commercial Law; Management Accounting; Critical Perspectives on Organisation and Management; and Making Successful Decisions.

Assessment method

Assessment methods might include written examinations and a range of coursework assessments such as essays, reports, portfolios, performance, presentations and projects.
