Nursing at the University of Wolverhampton provides exciting, challenging opportunities to work with people, proving care across a range of diverse health and social care settings. It is demanding vocation which requires hard work, commitment, the ability to problem solve, work independently and as part of a team. The field of Children & Young Peoples nursing will enable you to develop the knowledge and skills to provide safe and effective nursing care to children and young people enabling you, if successful, to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council to practise as a nurse in a variety of health care settings. It will educate you to a high clinical, professional and academic standard ready to practice in the 21st century. *If you choose to have placements in the Burton area, you will study year 1 theory at the Burton campus and years 2 and 3 theory at Walsall campus. For all other placement areas you will study all theory at Walsall campus. Please note that although you will apply for your preferred start date due to placement capacity you are not guaranteed the date you select. We would place successful applicants on the earliest start date we have available at that time. Applicants have the opportunity to be placed on a waiting list to be pulled forward as places become available.

We will coordinate both of these non-academic conditions with you should you accept an offer with us. There will be no cost for the DBS this is free to applicants who have secured a Conditional offer and have chosen to study at the University of Wolverhampton.

If you are a UK student enrolling on a full-time Foundation Degree or a Bachelor degree programme at the University of Wolverhampton in 2023/4, your fee for this academic year will be £9,250. This is a yearly fee, and will increase with inflation in subsequent years (in line with the government’s fee requirements). If you are an English student studying your first higher education qualification, you can apply for a tuition fee loan from the Student Loans Company. You will not start repaying this loan until you leave the course and are earning over £25,000 a year.
