Course summary

TEF Silver

University of Chichester has opted into the TEF and received a Silver award.

Find out more about the TEF.

The programme combines the multidisciplinary nature of business studies provision with an additional focus on finance. Key themes developed over the course include management accounting, financial accounting, human resource management, marketing, strategic management and financial accounting. Additionally, there is a focus on the development of students’ intellectual and practical skills that will support them both as learners and as future managers. Our methods are different to many other universities as the majority of learning takes place in group workshops, in an interactive, participative environment. Modules are designed to be active and experiential so that the skills and knowledge you develop can be implemented in realistic settings. You will also have the opportunity to undertake a 10-week work placement as part of your final year studies.

English language requirements

TestGradeAdditional details
IELTS (Academic)6
PTE Academic50

The standard entry requirement for this programme is IELTS 6.0 with no element lower than 5.5. However, you can begin your 3-year degree programme with IELTS 5.5. Our International Route allows you to take 4 credit-bearing modules in International English Studies (IES) as part of your first year studies. This means you study 4 modules in your chosen subject and 4 in International English. The IES Modules allow you to focus on personal language development and your use of English as an academic language. Then, at the end of your first year, you’ll have all the necessary language skills to transfer to full study of your main subject. If you have an IELTS score under 5.5 you can still begin a 3-year degree programme with us. In this case we provide a 5 or 10 week intensive Presessional Programme in English language and academic skills. For the 10 week Programme you’ll need IELTS 4.5, and IELTS 5.0 for the 5 week Programme.

Further details of our international entry requirements can be found on our website.
