Today, medical practitioners even use technology to deliver automated medical services. This course will help you develop and maintain the next advances in healthcare. You'll be taught across our School of Engineering and Informatics and Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS). Our Engineering experts are helping advance healthcare automation, with contributions in areas such as:

  • image processing and neurophysiology
  • medical robotics and bio-robotics
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • brain-computer interface
  • neuroscience and biomaterials.
Meanwhile, at the Medical School, you’ll learn about anatomy and physiology. You’ll study the impact that diseases, traumas and implants have on the human body. Learn through lectures and gain practical experience in engineering. Our facilities include state-of-the-art robotics and VR labs. You’ll also have access to the anatomy laboratory in BSMS. Your final project will be co-supervised by academics across both Schools. This course will help you to analyse, develop and deploy medical technologies. The knowledge and skills you develop will help you refine your problem-solving and analytical skills. This will help you to thrive in any professional environment. Entry requirements

You should have a lower second-class (2.2) undergraduate honours degree or above. Your qualification should be in engineering or physics. You may also be considered for the course if you have other professional qualifications or experience of equivalent standing.
