Course summary
A three year part-time online Masters degree designed to help environmental practitioners to develop their skills at postgraduate level in environmental management and sustainability. As we respond to the environmental crisis that the world is facing, the skills required by environmental practitioners are more and more broad to align with the increasing breadth of industry standards. The scope of work for environmental practitioners is expanding to include areas such as corporate governance, making environmental business cases, communication and reporting, sustainable value chain and sustainable business management among others. This course is designed to help you to develop your ability, confidence, knowledge and skillsets to help you pursue a successful and rewarding career in this crucial line of work. Course accredited by IEMA The MSc Sustainability and Environmental Management is accredited by the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) giving it recognition by employers around the world. Whilst you are enrolled on the course, you will have free IEMA student membership giving you access to a wide range of resources to complement your studies and support you in your work. Upon completion of the Masters degree, you will be eligible to join IEMA as a graduate member (GradIEMA) and fast track to Practitioner Member status (PEIMA) depending on your experience. Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) accreditation The CIWEM supports the development of the skills and qualities that employers are looking for, providing you with opportunities to showcase your talents. Accredited by the CIWEM, you will benefit from free student membership whilst enrolled on this masters degree and upon completion of this course, you will be eligible to register for graduate membership of CIWEM. Intakes The online MSc Sustainability and Environmental Management has September, January and May intakes.
