Assessment method
Academic assessment will be undertaken in accordance with University standards. Generally, this will be by way of written assignments, presentations and exams, both seen and unseen. The range or diversity of assessments are designed to cater for all student needs and allow students to develop and demonstrate a variety of skills much in demand by the police service. There is also a requirement for students to undertake self-reflection. Some assessment are based on reports of this reflective process. The assessment process will be supported by university staff and there is a recognition that some students will need additional support in line with any particular learning needs.
