Climate change, and the need to make our energy sources as efficient as possible, is arguably one of the most important struggles faced by our generation. There has never been a more important time to understand energy. This course explores all aspects of the energy industry with a focus on sustainability running throughout the programme. You will be introduced to the fundamentals of energy management. There are a variety of potential career opportunities both in the UK and internationally within organisations like national and international oil companies, government agencies, local government, and global consultancies. With the growth of sustainability across every sector this HNC could also open a wide variety of career opportunities. This Higher National Certificate (HNC) follows the Year 1 curriculum of the Energy Management BSc (Hons) degree course. The University also accepts the BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate/BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma and BTEC Level 3 National Diploma/BTEC Level 3 Diploma for entry onto degree programmes, provided that they are studied in combination with other qualifications that are equivalent to three A2 Levels. This may include subject specific requirements where necessary.
