You will study the most important components of international intellectual property law, such as copyright, patents and trademarks, and how these forms of intellectual property are protected in the digital age. You will look at the European and international aspects of patent law, as well as legal questions associated with new technologies, multimedia and cyberspace. In addition to these specialised topics, you will examine international commercial law and related subjects. This will help to put IP into the context of modern international business relations. Teaching time For full time study, you will have on average four hours of teaching time each week. Entry requirements
An undergraduate degree or equivalent professional qualification with appropriate law content; students with 3 years' legal or relevant commercial work experience may be considered subject to interview; applicants with extensive work experience are considered on a case by case basis; applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 or above, at a minimum of 5.5 for each of the 4 individual components, TOEFL internet-based test 90 or above, Pearson PTE Academic 58 or above, or an equivalent secure English language test.
