Course summary
The Master’s in Conservation Leadership explores the knowledge, skills and experience you need to successfully manage a conservation project. Created and delivered in partnership with Bristol Zoological Society, it gives you unique access to the Society’s local and international projects and staff expertise. Mixing theory with practice, you’ll delve into the relationship between designing, implementing and managing an impactful conservation project, gaining unique first-hand experience of a leadership role within this competitive field. Deepen your knowledge of conservation by carrying out work and studies with complete access to all that’s on offer at Bristol Zoo and UWE Bristol. Tap into our many links with local and international conservation organisations. Further your knowledge on wildlife conservation and get the strong foundation you need for a career in conservation leadership. You’ll be well prepared to go into a wide range of jobs. Our Master’s will serve as a unique training platform to secure a decision-making position or to advance your career within the wildlife conservation sector. The skills you’ll gather don’t apply only to conservation and will be directly transferable to a number of other leadership and management positions in the sustainability and climate change sector.
Entry requirements
Applicants will have a good honours degree (minimum 2:2) in a subject which contains a core grounding in conservation, environmental and related science, or equivalent. Your qualification will be from a UK or recognised overseas institution
English language requirements
International and EU applicants are required to have a minimum overall IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 with 5.5 in each component (or approved equivalent*). *The University accepts a large number of UK and international qualifications in place of IELTS.
