The Higher National Diploma is a university-level qualification (Level 5) with a strong vocational emphasis. For people currently employed in a related field, an HND provides the opportunity to upgrade knowledge and skills, combining work and study and may be a more cost-effective alternative to university study. This course is equivalent to the first and second year of a full time university-level programme.
