Why study Graphic Design at Kent? • Your course, your way: Graphic Design at Kent allows you to explore your passions and ambitions and discover your specialism whether it be editorial and layout design, digital interaction design or illustration. Develop your own unique style and portfolio through a series of projects inspired by identity, process, environment, form and affect. • Access fantastic facilities: Our specialist spaces include a specialist graphic design studio, dedicated workshops, laser-cutting facilities, printing press and letterpress, reproduction, and large format printing options. We also have specialist projection mapping software and projectors. You also have access to an Adobe Creative Cloud license for your entire student career on the course enabling you to work across static and moving image work, print and digital. • Get career ready: We work hard to maintain strong links with professional graphic designers, helping you to kickstart your career in the industry. The university careers events help prepare you for job opportunities through alumni and practitioner events and CV clinics. You can also work in industry or spend a year abroad gaining experience working in a professional environment. • Join our community: As part of the School of Architecture, you can attend guest lectures and research seminars with industry professionals or join the student-run Kent Architectural Students Association (KASA) and help organise social events, design competitions and the End of Year Show. • Expand your Horizons: In a competitive market, having something that differentiates you from the crowd is a real plus. This course provides the option to study abroad or work in industry for a year, demonstrating flexibility in your outlook and displaying enthusiasm and a drive to succeed in new environments.
