The MPhil in Innovation, Strategy & Organisation (ISO) is a nine month programme, and an integral part of the route to a PhD via both the Strategic Management pathway and the Organisational Theory & Information Systems pathway. The ISO masters programme has been designed for students wishing to build substantive and methodological knowledge in the areas of innovation, strategy and organisation and its application to the interdisciplinary study of organisations. It is oriented to those wishing to prepare for a career in academic research. You can choose either a qualitative or a quantitative stream to pursue research in the ISO domain. The MPhil in Innovation, Strategy & Organisation is an interdisciplinary programme exploring innovation and change through three interconnecting themes: innovation and work practices, innovation and strategic change, and new organisational forms. The programme seeks to provide the methodological and theoretical foundation for further research and is specifically aimed at students intending to continue to a PhD degree, whether in Cambridge or elsewhere. Students who complete the MPhil and proceed to the Cambridge Judge Business School PhD programme can apply to have their MPhil year counted towards their residence requirements for the PhD. The MPhil in Innovation, Strategy & Organisation programme consists of: three core courses, one for each of the three areas of Innovation, Strategy and Organisation two research methodology core courses a specialist elective 12,000 word dissertation
Assessment will be by written examination, project, or coursework, depending upon the nature of the particular course. If dissertation option is chosen, a 12,000 word thesis is required, with no oral exam. Should the individual research project option be chosen, a 4,000 word assessment is required, with no oral exam.

Qualified teacher status (QTS)
To work as a teacher at a state school in England or Wales, you will need to achieve qualified teacher status (QTS). This is offered on this course for the following level:

1st Class Honours or equivalent (a degree in a social science or humanities discipline is normally expected). Prior work experience is not required. Applicants whose 1st language is not English should have IELTS minimum overall score of 7.5, with not less than 7.0 in each element; or TOEFL minimum score of 110 (iBT), with not less than 25 in each element.
