This course will broaden your knowledge and understanding of contemporary issues within this exciting sector to learn elements of airline and airport business practices. This industry-focused course lays the foundation for you to join a sector which is ever changing, and this course highlights the constant changes within the industry and supports you to develop the key skills and in-depth knowledge to understand the sector. You will benefit from tutor’s specialist knowledge of aviation and strong links to industry which will allow you insights into operational practices. Trips are an integral part of the course, including the opportunity to visit both international and UK airports, airlines. Both UK and international destinations will be available (additional costs apply). What will I study? Modules offered may vary. Year One Core Modules include: · Customer Journey, strategy and management · Marketing-Strategies and Tactics · Understanding and analysing data · Planning and Managing Airside Operations · Principles of Management · Performance management · Academic Skills and Digital Literacy · Career and Self-analysis Year Two Core modules include · Technology in the Airport & Airline Industry · Independent Research Project · Sustainable Tourism Practices · Growing revenue in the Airport & Airline Industry · Contemporary Challenges in Airport & Airline Management · Managing the passenger experience You will also have the chance to spend time at Aviation Training Academies. These academies offer immersive experiences designed to enhance both your theoretical and practical skills. Qualification requirements

There are no qualification requirements for this course.

Entry requirements You must have achieved 48 UCAS tariff points from an appropriate Level 3 qualification (NVQ 3, BTEC Award, A Level or relevant T Level qualification). You are also required to have GCSE passes at grade 4 (C) or equivalent in English and maths. Non-standard applicants will be considered based on industrial experience relevant to the programme and/or alternative qualifications that may be considered for advanced standing. This decision will be determined by interview.
