Course summary
Our BA Education Studies course provides a distinctive and valuable insight into a range of educational issues. Explore current debates in contemporary education within a variety of contexts:
- Sociology: society and social justice, inclusion and inequalities, sustainability, and global perspectives in education
- Creativity: the Arts in different environments and educational contexts
- Psychology: theories of learning, and child and adolescent development.
Modules
The following modules have been approved in principle for delivery in 2025/26. Please note that as part of our current curriculum improvement process, all modules require final University approval and may be subject to change. Core modules for this course: Creative Learning Through the Arts Education for Inclusion Psychology and Theories of Learning Sociology, Education and Social Justice Contextualising Creative Learning through the Arts The University cannot guarantee that all optional modules will be available to all students who may wish to take them.
