And with access to our state-of-the-art facilities, including a licensed wildlife park, working farm, equine yard, and science laboratories, you should have the tools and resources to help bring your learning to life. Year 1 Modules • Introduction to Animal Health • Fundamentals of Biological Sciences • Principles of Laboratory Work • Introduction Research • Academic and Professional Skills Year 2 (Level 4) Core Modules include: • Academic Writing and Research • Animal Anatomy and Physiology • Introduction to Genetics and Inheritance • Animal Health and Disease • Ecological Conservation Skills *Optional Modules (Choose 1) • Exotic Animal Behaviour • Canine and Feline Behaviour • Equine Behaviour and Welfare Year 3 (Level 5) Core Modules include: • Independent Research Project • Principles of Animal Management • Animal Welfare and Ethics • Animal Nutrition • Laboratory Skills *Optional Modules (Choose 1) • Management of Habitats and Protected Areas • Principles of Animal Training • Business Enterprise *We cannot guarantee placement on your preferred elective if the module does not meet the minimum enrolment requirements or is oversubscribed due to resource limitations.

Applicants should have achieved 5 GCSEs including English, Maths and Science at grade C/4 or above. Equivalent qualifications may be accepted in lieu of GCSEs. In addition applicants must have successfully completed a minimum of one year of Level 3 study and/or have significant industry experience.
