Your studies will be informed by the latest research, which you can see in practice in our busy in-house speech and language therapy clinic. You will learn about the foundations of speech, language, communication and swallowing and the disorders that affect these functions. Combining rigorous academic study with practical work at our in-house specialist speech and language clinic, you will cover a range of areas including: phonetics linguistics audiology neurological conditions biomedical sciences learning disabilities autism. You will also develop critical research and analytical skills and learn how to apply evidence-based practice. This two-year MSc programme is ideal if you want to start a career as a speech and language therapist (SLT). It is accredited by the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Whether your first degree is health related or not, this course will be a fast track into Speech and Language Therapy, enabling you to achieve a pre-registration health qualification in two years instead of the usual three to four.
