Course summary
This course is Distance Learning with limited contact days at the college Main Campus This HND is a progression route for students who have completed an HNC or Level 4 qualification. This programme enables a multidisciplinary study of sport and exercise science at a higher level, where you will have the opportunity to study all major disciplines of sports science, as well as an introduction to research and laboratory skills. you will gain a scientific understanding of the core principles involved in supporting a range of sporting performances. Learning will be largely online with 5-7 contact days per year, where you will be required to visit Loughborough College. During these contact days, you will be able to put theory into practice, by utilising our sports science laboratories and practical facilities, whilst also befitting from face-to-face delivery and support.
Modules
Research Project, Performance Analysis, Contemporary Issues in Health, Work Experience, Exercise Physiology, Biochemistry of Exercise and Strength and Conditioning for Coaching.
Assessment method
Assessments include a range of exams, essays, projects, presentations and reports. Such diversity allows you to experience and refine various academic and professional skills to prepare for your next steps.
