Strength, Conditioning and Rehabilitation (with Foundation) at University of Gloucestershire - UCAS

Course summary

Why an Integrated Foundation Stage? An Integrated Foundation Stage starts your degree studies with a year spent learning the skills required to progress onto a full honours degree. Alongside an introduction to Strength, Conditioning and Rehabilitation, you will develop valuable study skills, communication, team work and problem-solving techniques which help to build your confidence and prepare you for the rest of your course. Why Strength, Conditioning and Rehabilitation? A rapidly expanding area in sports professions and research, Strength, Conditioning & Rehabilitation focuses on increasing peak performance and reducing injury risk and recovery time. Led by our Sports Sciences team you’ll join a course that brings together physiology, biomechanics, performance analysis and professional placements to offer a wide-ranging degree focused on your career after graduation. On this NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association) accredited course, you’ll undertake needs analysis on athletes, implement testing procedures and design training and rehabilitation programmes. You’ll work with other practitioners including Coaches, Sports Therapists and Sports Scientists to develop the skills needed to operate as part of a team. With our focus on small class, multi-disciplinary and practical learning, your assessments will be coursework-led to gain a truly representative measure of graduate attributes sought by future employers and for postgraduate study. You’ll join a University where Sport is part of our fabric. Be it the extensive and accessible wellbeing and research facilities at our purpose-built Oxstalls Campus & Sports Park, our range of sports scholarship packages or array of clubs – sport is a huge part of life here at Gloucestershire. To support your undergraduate journey, we also offer fee waivers, bursaries and awards, for both UK and International students. At the end, as a Gloucestershire graduate you can choose to pursue one of our sports-related postgraduate courses, receiving a priority offer and a 20% fees discount.
