This could range from small components that improve efficiency, to huge pieces of machinery or vehicles. There are roles for mechanical engineers within all areas of product development, such as research and development, design and manufacture, installation and ongoing maintenance. Mechanical engineering is found within a range of industries, making employment possible in various organisations and parts of the country.
