Assessment method

Pharmacology emphasises how drugs work and are used in the treatment of disease. The course aims to develop your technical and scientific competence along with your deductive, analytical and communication skills. It has a modular structure that allows you to follow your own interests. In the final year, you can undertake an extended research project in the laboratory with expert supervision. You’ll be taught through a series of lectures, tutorials and laboratory work. Assessment includes written exams, multiple choice questions, problem solving exercises, oral presentations and assessment of laboratory skills. In addition you must have GCSE English Language and Maths at grade 4 or above, or grade C or above if awarded under the previous GCSE grading scheme.
