Our MBA Educational Leadership and Management will help you develop the skills and knowledge needed to be an exceptional leader in your field – and send a clear signal to your employer that you’re strongly motivated to succeed. Our flexible, distance learning course lets you study while you work, and tailor your learning around your current role. As well as honing and developing your existing skills, you'll reflect on contemporary education leadership practice and theories, allowing you to push forward in a leadership or management role and instigate beneficial changes for your pupils and colleagues. As an MBA Educational Leadership and Management student you’ll be able to study while working. The course is designed to be flexible so you can study when it is convenient for you and access personalised support through regular tutorial updates. The assignments are all designed as ‘live briefs’, which means that you can use them as opportunities to draw on and enhance your day-to-day working practices, thinking and applying the learning from the MBA course in real-time. Whether you work in the UK or overseas, are already employed in a leadership or management role, or are taking on additional responsibilities in your teaching/lecturing role, our six core modules will be relevant for your career. The distance learning elements of the course are all interactive. You’ll have opportunities to take part in online discussions about key topics with fellow students and course tutors and use a broad range of learning materials including text, audio, and video as well as eBooks and eJournals. We'll also help you develop your skills in accessing, producing, and making appropriate use of relevant research literature. Throughout the MBA, you’ll have a high level of one-to-one support from a dedicated tutor, and access to teaching and learning methods that give you the widest possible exposure to a modern, innovative higher education experience. Assessment method

You'll show your progress though a variety of methods that draw on ‘live’ opportunities for learning from your current role. You'll also be supported to develop and refine your writing and presentation skills for different audiences, helping you develop a range of approaches to presenting evidence and action planning.


Entry requirements

Applicants should normally have a good first degree or National College ADSBM and have a minimum of 2 years experience of employment in a related field, this does not need to have been at a leadership or managerial level. International students will be required to demonstrate the university standard of English language (IELTS) at Level 6.5 (Academic level), including written English, prior to commencement on a course. Students who do not meet this requirement will be advised to seek support from Anglia Ruskin University's Language Centre. Applicants should be working within an educational context within a role that includes Leadership and Management responsibility. All students will need access to broadband internet in order to download module content and engage in streamed content where appropriate.
