Course summary

Understand how people learn mathematics, gain insight into their difficulties, and find approaches to help you and others think deeply about the subject. We designed this unique degree with teachers, teaching assistants, tutors and home educators in mind. It will develop your knowledge and understanding of mathematics and statistics. And broaden your ideas about what it means to learn and teach school-level mathematics. You’ll also be qualified to start secondary or primary mathematics teacher training. Modules

This degree has three stages, each comprising 120 credits: In Stage 1, you’ll study four 30-credit modules from the default or intensive start. Read the Entry requirements to decide which start is right for you. In Stage 2, you’ll study one 60-credit module and 60-credits from the mathematics or mathematics with statistics route. In Stage 3, you’ll study three 30-credit modules and choose one 30-credit module from your chosen route.
