Our MSc Structural Engineering with Industry course is only open to International students. There is a selection process for this course - see the 'how to apply' section on this page. Gain two years' experience in the UK and the opportunity to work in collaboration with industry on a real-life challenge. This flexible MSc degree is an extension of our MSc Structural Engineering and includes a second year allowing you to undertake either an industry placement or an industry-focused project with an industrial partner. Modules
Our Structural Engineering programme will be delivered in three semesters: Semester 1 (October-January) includes 60 credits of taught modules Semester 2 (February-June) includes 60 credits of taught modules Semester 3 (June-September) includes 60 credit research project Taught modules will include some continuous assessment, completed during the Semester, but the use of end-of semester examinations will remain the most important assessment method for the detailed technical content. Entry requirements
This course is only available for international students. Usually the entry requirements for the MSc Structural Engineering with Industry course is a 2:2 honours degree (or above) in Civil Engineering or a similar relevant engineering or science discipline. If English is not your first language you will need an acceptable pass in an approved English Language qualification to make sure you get the full benefit from studying at Swansea. We consider a wide range of qualifications, including the Swansea University English Test, the British Council IELTS test (with a score of at least 6.5 and 5.5 in each component).
