Course summary

Study a Secondary PGCE in Design and Technology (Food) and enrich the knowledge of the curriculum to future learners. The practical course will enable you to develop a dynamic approach into teaching, gaining insightful knowledge of the profession through research-active academics. At Worcester, you will gain experience through multiple placements in a variety of contrasting school environments throughout the year, which will prepare you for a successful transition into teaching. Whilst preparing for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), you will develop specialist skills into teacher training and develop a critical understanding of the design and technology food curriculum in the secondary school setting. You'll benefit from becoming a member of the Worcestershire Food Cluster Group, allowing you to build relationships and network with a wide range of food teachers.
