Course summary
Today’s Paramedic is a highly skilled healthcare practitioner, who provides high quality urgent or emergency care to patients in a wide range of exciting, fast-paced and challenging environments. The Paramedic profession is at the forefront of the developing modern NHS, with paramedics extending their role in to an increasing range of new and exciting areas. Upon successful completion of this 2-year MSc Programme, you'll be eligible to apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Paramedic.
Modules
Modules you may study include: Principles of Paramedic Practice; Human Health and Illness; Legal, Professional and Ethical Practice; Advancing Paramedic Practice; Transitioning to Autonomous Practice Supporting and Developing Others; and your dissertation.
Entry requirements
A UK honours degree (minimum 2.2) or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as biology, biomedical science, pharmacology or microbiology. Applicants with relevant employment experience or other relevant qualifications will also be considered.
