Course summary

This course is for you if you want to develop a career in the IT industry, research or academia. You’ll work with tomorrow’s computer systems. Learn from experts in the Department of Informatics and gain from our links in the software engineering field. Advances across platforms, networks and computers mean new challenges. These dwarf the problems computer science has solved up to now. To meet these challenges, computing needs skilled scientists in system design. You’ll work in an intellectually stimulating environment with research ranging from computer science to digital media to e-business. Accreditation Accredited by BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT for the purposes of fully meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered IT Professional. We understand that deciding where and what to study is a very important decision. Entry requirements

Degree requirements You should normally have an upper second-class (2.1) undergraduate honours degree or above. Subject-specific requirements Your qualification should be in computing, science, mathematics or engineering and you should have significant computing experience. You may also be considered for the course if you have other professional qualifications or experience of equivalent standing.
