Course summary
You will explore the varied roles of the protective services and the civic duties they carry out in the UK and overseas. This fast track degree will introduce you to a range of protective services including the police, military, government, security and voluntary agencies. What will I study? During this course, you will study a mixture of topics around the ethical responsibilities, occupational skills and powers that protective service personnel use to carry out their job role effectively. You will analyse and evaluate the creation of public policy, the implementation of protective service jobs and the wider impact of actions by the protective services on society. During your degree, you will develop skills that are required in a range of protective service job roles and look at the theories behind their use.
