Course summary
Studied over two years, your BTEC Level 4 and 5 Higher National Certificate and Diploma in Sport* will allow you to develop an understanding of both theoretical and practical issues relating to a career in sports. They are designed to reflect the increasing need for high-quality professional and technical education pathways at Levels 4 and 5, providing you with a clear line of sight for employment and progression to a degree at Level 6. UCAS POINTS: Up to 240 UCAS points available (120 credits at Level 4 and 120 credits at Level 5) dependant on grade achieved. These full-time blended learning programmes enable the development of key skills employers and universities require. Learners will take part in various types of assessments such as practical demonstrations, research and analysis, and working independently or as part of a team in scenario-based assessments where they will practice and apply their new knowledge in situations they may face in the future. GCSEs at grade 9 to 4 in Maths and English and a Level 3 in sport, business, health and fitness qualification at merit or an Access to Higher Education Diploma awarded by an approved further education institution.* Mature student: interview-based and relevant work experience. UK resident foreign nationality students: the international equivalent of the above. We are open to hearing from learners who do not meet the exact entry requirements to explore suitability.
